What is Bike 4 Sight?

Bike 4 Sight is a fund raising event benefiting the Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, eastern Pennsylvania’s premier rehabilitation and training center for people with vision loss.

Latest News

Dear Friends of CBVI & Bike 4 Sight,

Since 2003, Bike 4 Sight has raised funds to support the Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CBVI). Over the years, this event has grown; every spring, cyclists throughout the Delaware Valley look forward to participating in this beautiful countryside ride while sharing camaraderie and fun.

Regrettably, Bike 4 Sight will not take place as scheduled in June of 2010. Start-up costs for a ride like Bike 4 Sight are substantial and dependent upon corporate sponsorship. Companies and institutions that have supported the event in the past are no longer able to do so due to financial changes within their own organizations. In these trying economic times, it is difficult to find new corporate sponsors as replacements. This is the same dilemma faced by organizations much larger than ours, such as the Dad Vale Regatta, the Mummers, and even the Philadelphia Orchestra.

But not to worry! Bike 4 Sight is not going away! We just need some extra time to strategize and work towards finding the funding that we so desperately need. Bike 4 Sight will be more solidly financed, bigger and better than ever in 2011! The Bike 4 Sight Committee & CBVI is committed to making this happen.

Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to seeing you at our next Bike 4 Sight!

Best regards,
Harry Havnoonian
